The coffee was good nothing exceptional. It is a one time visit or if you are nearby. We had the latte and black coffee and both were good. The service was fast and welcoming. It is a big place with a lot of seating and the place is really pretty inside with a lot nice paintings.

Hidden inside an office building right at the cluster intersection of Madison and 5th is Retro Coffee. They have some unique options drink options to make things fun; I went with a Lavender Oat Chai. Zola Roasters coffee being served with fresh pastries to pair. Friendly service even as early as 7:00 am when they open. There's a good amount of seating available in a high ceiling shop. PS: The baristas take music requests but within reason.

Very cute little shop! I went on Halloween and the barista was dressed up. Very kind and attentive service and they answered all my questions about their chai options. I loved the drink and the decor was cute and fun. I sat and did my crossword for a bit and then headed on with my day and the music was great too. Would come back! The chai is a proper spicy chai which is hard to get right.

Close to the office and will go in once in a while for a pick me up back then. Honestly no complaint. Coffee was good, close to the office, and staff was nice.

This cute little coffee shop is just a few steps from our hotel. Once we got out today it was our first stop. The team members working were friendly and fun! They were a little busy but kept their smiles and were efficient and kind. We had a chai tea and a latte and they were really good. We shared an almond cherry scone and it was delicious. They surely have regular customers, they greeted them by name and laughed and made jokes with them. One customer came in with his dog and after preparing his order, the young lady came around the counter and gave the dog a treat- I was leery at first but she went directly back behind the counter and washed her hands with soap and water. (After my experience with the lizard in that restaurant that one time, you know I was watching!) I hope they are open on Sunday so I can get my coffee from there in the morning. I love supporting small places over those big corporate places when I can!

Retro Coffee in the Madison Centre is a delightful spot that seamlessly blends style with substance. I got an iced latte with oat milk: the coffee was smooth and the oat milk added a creamy yet light finish that lingered pleasantly. It's a solid choice for any coffee aficionado. The ambiance is another highlight. With seating available both inside the coffee shop and in the adjacent Madison Centre lobby, there's plenty of space to relax or get some work done. The free WiFi is a bonus, making it an ideal spot for remote work or a quiet study session. The barista was really friendly as well, adding a personal touch to the overall experience.

Coming from our hotel, this was a 5 hill hike! Omgeee. Seattle has the hills. I'm huffing it. Tucked into the side of a business building, Retro has plenty of seating inside, as does the lobby of the building itself, both overlooking trees and grassy lawn in front of the courthouse. Went for a switch-up from the usual: still a decaf flat white with heavy cream, but this time over ice. Took our coffees to the glass lobby that overlooks the Seattle Public Library - perfect view and a great compliment to the enjoyable coffee. It's creamy and cold, a great combo for a lovely Friday afternoon!

Great espresso coffee best I've had in the US for a while being an Aussie and a coffee snob Food is minimal ,pre-made and wrapped melts and rolls but the scones, cookies and croissant are all beautifully fresh ( no butter with my scone ?? lol) A few tables to sit and chill inside for working coffee breaks Friendly staff , not a bad cafe at all

Retro coffee was a cute spot near my hotel that didn't disappoint. The staff was quite friendly and fast on the rainy morning. They have 3 types of chai lattes, and I opted for the sweet chai, which was quite nice. I was hoping to get back to try the others, but it didn't happen on this trip. I really enjoyed the Morning Glory muffin - it was filling to count as breakfast but not too much that it felt heavy. If you're in the area, it's worth a try!
